Treatment

Our unique process.

Phases of care

PHASE ONE (WEEKS 1-4): RECOVERY

After your first correction, you may begin to feel changes in some of the symptoms associated with your case; even within the first 24 hours. The long-standing compensating posture (body imbalance) has been released and the healing process has begun. Our goal in this phase is to establish a pattern of "holding" the new alignment and minimizing time "out" of alignment moving forward. This is the most important factor in your long term recovery.

PHASE TWO (WEEKS 4-8): REHABILITATION

Every day you are holding the correction your body is stabilizing and improving. In this phase, we introduce Muscle Activation Techniques® (MAT®). Our goal is for the corrected head and neck alignment to become the normal for your body. This process can take time because with years of misalignment, the body has built up damage and inflammation in a variety of tissues including joint surfaces, muscles, tendons, ligaments and nerves.

PHASE THREE (WEEKS 8-12): STABILIZATION

As you progress though healing, you will notice that different tissues heal at different rates from the moment we stop aggravating them. Typically, healing time for muscle tissue is 4-6 weeks, ligament tissue is 6-8 weeks and nerve tissue is 3-6 months or more. Your overall healing time will depend on several factors including the severity of damage, types of tissues involved, individual lifestyle factors (including stress) and nutrition.
